CSAN’s 2026 advocacy efforts are actively advancing at the federal, state, and local levels, including pushing for modernization of the federal Charter Schools Program through the FLEX Act and facilities funding legislation, while engaging Nevada policymakers on key issues like proposed caps on charter school reserves that could impact long term financial stability. At the same time, CSAN is building relationships with new authorizers like the City of Henderson and monitoring regional policies that may affect charter expansion, all while encouraging members to stay engaged through upcoming convenings, advocacy opportunities, and direct outreach to ensure strong representation of the charter sector ahead of the 2027 legislative session.
