About Us

Born from the idea that school options are a vital part of the educational success of the students in our community, the Charter School Association of Nevada (CSAN) has worked hard to create avenues for open communication between parents, the state legislature, and the charter schools themselves, so all parties can work efficiently towards the shared goal of providing the best education possible for Nevada’s students. 

Who We Are

Charter school enrollment has grown significantly and CSAN answered the call for an advocate. With more than 72,000 children enrolled in charter schools in 2024, CSAN embraces the need to provide accurate and timely information, assemble resources, and make charter school education more accessible for families. Through our work, communication between all parties flows easier, more steadily, and with a distinct focus where it should be: On providing the best education possible for our kids.

As the desire for school options becomes more of a focal point, our resolution will remain the same: To foster Nevada’s charter school community through frequent communication, legislative advocacy, and aiding in the creation of educational standards to grow Nevada’s children and write the next chapter in Nevada's educational story.

 Leadership 

CSAN is supported by a team of educators and passionate members of the charter school community who have personally navigated the school system, whether as parents, teachers, or administrators. 

Together, CSAN’s leadership team dedicates its time, resources, and passion to building and developing the charter school community in Nevada, supporting parents, government officials, and charter schools along the journey to create options and standards of excellence for Nevada’s children.
